The key message that I intended to deliver in this image was a positive teacher- student relationship, while the original image focused more on capturing the overall classroom environment. I chose to remove extraneous background elements to emphasize teacher-student interaction, ensuring coherence principle that Mayer (2014) argued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this task, I used Photoshop, but it can be done with simple software tools such as Paint or Photos as well, which will be quite handy for my future projects. One note: I do not recommend using screenshot capture to use a partial image, as it may reduce the image quality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Figure 4. <\/strong>The Four Elements of Cultural Competence<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The graphic above was created to support the learning outcome of understanding the four elements of cultural competence. I used the SmartArt feature in PowerPoint and customized the font and colours to align with the overall branding of the learning programs. Placed between the title and the text, this graphic enhances learning by visually illustrating how the four elements are interconnected within the cultural competence. This design aligns well the Integrated Model of Text and Picture Comprehension<\/em> by Schnotz, W.(2022), particularly in terms to coherence and contiguity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
