A Student and her Laptop Walk into a Blog…

My name is Rebekah Adams. I’m a twenty-something Vancouver native, daughter, sister, girlfriend, and dedicated student. I’m nearing the end of my first year in my MLIS degree at UBC (Master’s in Library and Information Studies at the University of British Columbia). I’m fascinated by public libraries and their role in serving a community, and I hope that my future career is related to this field in some way.

This blog has been created in part to satisfy a requirement for LIBR 559m – Social Media for Librarians (the title of the class is actually something else that doesn’t really tell you anything about the course, so this is what I’m going to call it).
