Hello All,

Thank you all for your support with our very successful Halloween assembly and the filming of the “Let’s Play” video. I am very proud of Div.20 and all the hard work and bravery it took to participate in both activities.

Hello All,

As you may have seen, I have sent the children home with permission forms regarding an amazing opportunity with the Let’s Play initiative. Please let me know if you have any questions and return the forms ASAP.

We spent a bit of time this week brainstorming  DIY (do it yourself) costumes. The vision for our portion of the assembly is for the children to show the school costumes you can make with items you have around the house.

Some examples the children came up with was a Ninja, a crayon, a ghost. Please brainstorm other costumes ideas over the weekend! – There are lots of great ideas if you google ” DIY Kids Halloween Costumes”

We will be meeting next week with our buddy classes to create these costumes. I will be reaching out early next week for house hold items for the children to bring in – mostly recyclable materials like (paper towel roles, big boxes, ect)

Peek at the week: October 9th-12th

Hello All,

Div. 20 had another great week. We covered lots of different topics that encouraged the children to apply what they already know and to inquire about things they where not to sure about.

The goal setting conferences this past week were great, please check in with your child about how they went and review the goals they have set.

The school is selling clothing with the Renfrew School logo. If you would like to order something please pick up a form from outside the office.

I also mentioned to some of you that we will be following a the program called “The Zones of Self Regulation”.  I have scanned two pages of the book. One is what each zone means and the other is a list of regular used vocabulary. Both would be great to read and a great tool to also use at home.

Looking at the week ahead:

Tuesday: Gym and Music *Runners and Water Bottles

Wednesday: Gym *Runners and Water Bottles
