Peek at the week: Nov 13-16

Hello All,

Div 20 had a great week filled with lots of cultural activities learning about Diwali and Remembrance Day. I believe it’s important to learn about all cultures. If you have a strong passion for a specific holiday please let me know as I always welcome guests to share a story or participate in an activity.

Looking at the week ahead:

Monday: Computers (NO School Remembrance Day Long Weekend)

Tuesday: Gym and Music *Runners and Water Bottles

Wednesday: Gym *Runners and Water Bottles

We also have a special guest musician called “Jacky’s Village” who will performing African music and dances.

Thursday:  Library Book Exchange.

  • Stone Carving, thank you everyone for returning your forms promptly.  The PAC is helping us cover the majority of the cost of this activity.

Friday:  Music

Ways to be involved this week:

Morning Tai Chi,  please feel free to join us. I am currently looking into a few Field Trip ideas and will be reaching out to see who would be interested in volunteering in the next few weeks.

Coming Up:

Wednesday, November 21st- We have a group of  students from Vancouver College joining us for a presentation regarding dental hygiene.

We also will be having a Jiu Jitsu session that day with same organization that we worked with last year.

Winter giving, I have not heard if our school is supporting the Vancouver Food Bank this year. I am currently looking into ways our class can support our greater community during the holidays and as always is open for suggestions.

Thanks,

Megan
