Peek at the week-December 2nd-6th

Hello All,

Division 20 had a good week. There were some great moments of kindness, cooperation and leadership. I can tell that they have started to come together as a team. However, this week we did have numerous conversations about expected volume levels during work time as well as transitions. Please have a conversation with your child this weekend about ways they can help ensure our classroom volume is at a level where everyone can get their work done.

How to help out and something to think about:

Each year during the holiday season I try to think of a way for Div. 20  to give back to our community. I see it as a way to have a conversation about the importance of giving back as well as being thankful and appreciative of what we have.  Last year, we made holiday cards and families were able to purchase cards and other items with a portion of the profit going toward a charity. Last year we donated to The Red Fox Living Society. I am looking for ideas as to what charity or organization to support this year. If you have any ideas please send me an email.

Peek at the week: November 12-15

Hello All,

I hope everyone is having a great long weekend and reflection on the importance of Remembrance Day.

Last week we went on our first field trip to the Renfrew Public Library. We were running out of time at the end which led me to decide that  I would sign out all the books under my name/card and the books will stay in the classroom.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy it there and I hope to go again.

I have sent home Parent-Teacher Forms on Thursday, please do your best to send those back to school ASAP so I can ensure I make a schedule that accommodates everyone.

Peek at the week: Nov 4th-7th

Hello All,

Thank you for another great week.

We had lots of fun with different special activities. The coding workshop was amazing and I know I learned a lot. Some children have seen and used “Scratch” before but if you haven’t please check it out, all you need to do is google “Scratch” and its the first tab, have your children show you what they learned.

We also checked out Mr. Wong’s Haunted House and went to Mrs. Lee’s class to watch presentations. Here we were able to practice both how to be a good audience as well as “TAG” our classes way of giving positive and constructive feedback.  We also went to the Halloween Dance and had School-Wide Fitness on Friday! What a week.
