I had a great week with Division 20. Two things we worked on that I wanted to mention was “I statements” and Lunar New Year.

The  format we used for the “I statements” is as follows.

I feel_______________(sad, annoyed, hurt) when you________________(pull on my jacket, take my pencil, etc). Next time can you ______________________ (call my name if you need my attention, ask me to borrow my pencil.)

Then allowing the other person to respond and apologize.

If you haven’t done so already please return the permission form for Saleema Noon it is purple and went home on Thursday.

Thank you everyone who has brought in soap for the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.
