No More Privacy?

The business model behind Urthecast is truly unique. By putting up high definition cameras on the international space station without launching a satellite, it is able to save a huge amount of costs. However, now with these cameras available, privacy comes into question.

With cameras having the capability of zooming up to 5 meters from the ground, it gets me wondering if this business will truly rise to the glory Wade Larson claims. Now I’m not stating that the company is bad, however, there are some large obstacles the company might not be able to mount. For example, now with this technology would all the countries agree to allow one to see into their private enclosed land? Would Iran or North Korea allow others to invade their privacy without retaliation? Also what about the general public’s privacy? Yes it true as he has mentioned that the social media we use invades are privacy far more than these cameras ever will but either or, it still comes to the invasion of privacy. It is for this reason that I’m skeptical this company will rise.

Will our privacy be compromised?
