The purpose of formal report proposal was to have a clear understanding of the topic of research for yourself as well as to provide background information on the importance of the chosen topic. The proposal included statement of problem, proposed solution to the problem, possible methods of research to be used and qualifications of the researcher.
The purpose for the progress report was to identify the audience for the research being conducted, significance of the report, objectives as well as method of research such as survey for primary data collection.
The success of this assignment was achieved by organizing the proposal and report in a reader friendly manner as well by having good research questions available to start collecting primary data.
