Digital Story
Telling an engaging, convincing story should be a skill that we impart to our students as well to give them space to create their own stories to reflect on their learning. A story is one of the oldest ways that information has been communicated, and it should not be abandoned in the Information Age.
I was amazed to see the 50+ tools given to us to create a digital story, another assignment of the course. I like the affordances of Photopeach; thus, I used it to create my digital story called “Error and Illusion”. First I wrote the story with its learning outcomes, then I looked for pictures and created the slides on Keynote, transferred them to iphoto and downloaded to the space in Photopeach.
“Error and Illusion” is inspired in the 7 Complex Lessons developed by Edgard Morin (2000). It looks for ways on reflecting on remembering to keep our ideas in their place as mediators, but not identify them with reality. I used some of pictures and experience by myself to create the story in order to deliver the conceptual depth of the message.

I believe this tool may allow students to indeed express themselves, and over all be confident with their final products.
