One of the most globally acknowledged autobiographies is that of <\/span>Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl<\/span><\/i>. The heartfelt narrative of Anne\u2019s life is a critically acclaimed work of writing, which stems a myriad of emotions from the consumers. Its reviews on multiple sites are both negative and positive, while many of them are positive and defend her writing against those who find her diary tedious. The amount of people who were dissatisfied with Anne\u2019s writing was the equivalent with those who found her writing unique and heartwarming. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many consumers criticize the format of Anne\u2019s journal, one review in particular expressed his feelings towards the entertainment level of the narrative (Alejandro, goodreads<\/a>). Although the consumer was polite and respectful towards Anne and the Holocaust, he found that the narrative for him personally was one that was not enjoyable to read (Alejandro, goodreads<\/a>). Contradicting the previous review is one that is slightly more harshly written criticizing those who found the book dull and unenjoyable (Varsha, goodreads<\/a>). He argues that the writing was not meant for entertainment purposes, but is a genuine work composed by a 14-year-old girl who was simply communicating her thoughts and frustrations without the knowledge of it being\u00a0available to the world to read and critique\u00a0(Varsha, goodreads<\/a>). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The reactions of consumers varied as their perception of the life narrative as well as Anne would vary in accordance to their ideals of a well written work or characteristics of an author. However, the negative reviews are questionable. Arguing upon the fact that the piece was tedious seems to be invalid, how can one think of a work written by a 14-year-old girl in such a manner? Her opinions were written in a diary; its contents are not to appear to a wide audience, but only to the eyes of its narrator. Therefore, how can one criticize a work in so harsh a manner when it was not to be witnessed by the counts of others? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
