I thought I start with an interesting marketing strategy I was exposed to recently:

Basically it is service that optimize the code of your own website, you provide links to your own site from other sites which improves your ranking and traffic with Google (or Bing) but mostly Google.
This is quite an interesting topic and method to market and promote your website, without really doing much planning and forecasting with your physical product or brand. It is a clever way to increase your “hits” on the internet with the hopeful result of getting more people to look at your site and product.
Google is firmly aware that people are doing it and are putting in increasing measures to prevent it from happening. These “optimizers” often will put in key wording or coding within the site such as “Justin Bieber” so that when someone searches that it will come up with there site at some point in the queue.
