It’s been awhile loyal followers, and to make up for that I will produce I blog per day for three days straight (CAN YOU HANDLE THAT).
Over the weekend I attended the Canucks game vs. the Carolina Hurricanes and had a really good time. There were a few new things that had been added to the GM…Rogers Arena to help provide more VALUE to the fans as consumers. I talked about the change in name in a previous blog, but the arena has also undergone other significant changes since last season. There are now 4 thin retractable screens that come down in each corner of arena and project images of the players. The steps have also been painted to reflect Canuck colours (White/Blue/Green). The Canucks have identified that they want to be perceived by the public and league as having the most state of the art technology at their games.
More importantly, before the game I was driving in my car and heard a rumour that someone famous was going to be singing the national anthem. Of course I was skeptical at first, but a reliable called confirmed that Justin Bieber would be singing the national anthem. His source, he had the Bieber Fever, this was clearly enough for me.
I got to the game thinking that I could trust the radio marketing the game with Justin Bieber singing the anthem. It was Richard Loney. Clearly disappointed I can away from the game with post-purchase dissonance as I accepted the tickets after I found out this news. I may never attend a game again.
