Hi all! My name is Sophia and I’m one of your classmates in RMST 202. I just joined this class so my intro post is late, but I’m excited to meet you all (although it’s a bit delayed). I am a second year student, ad I am planning on (but haven’t yet declared) a major in Medieval Studies and a minor in Archaeology. I chose this class specifically because i took RMST 201 last term and absolutely loved it. Looking forward to continue!
A bit about me: I absolutely love to read! In 2021 I read 96 books, which is a record for me. I especially love fantasy novels, and am a huge Lord of the Rings fan. Last year, I read Tolkien’sĀ Beren and LuthienĀ for the first time and was blown away (it was absolutely amazing), having mostly read his works concerning LOTR. I also love camping, and went last summer with some friends at Miracle Beach on Vancouver Island. I’m looking forward to hopefully going camping more once Covid numbers go down. I also play bass guitar, and love jamming along to 90s pop or 60s/70s country and folk.
I’m looking forward to this course because the format looks super refreshing and fun, and as I mentioned earlier I love to read! I’m excited to discover some new novels and hopefully some new favourites. The syllabus is full of authors who I’ve been meaning to read, so I’m grateful for this opportunity to crack open some great reads.
