ETEC 565 ePortfolio

The big difference with the wiki vs. the discussion board is I could immediately see everything people had posted.  I was more inclined to read everything, whereas with the discussion board I read two-three posts and then respond to these.  By reading everything I felt like I received a more rounded understanding of the discussion.  On the other hand, I also felt pressured to come up with something new for my post and I spent a lot of time trying to think of something that wasn’t already there.  I was worried my classmates and instructor would be disappointed if I didn’t come up with something new because most of my thoughts and ideas were already expressed.  Also, once I completed my post I didn’t go back to review new posts.  I am usually prompted by someone’s response to my post in a threaded discussion to return and then once I am there I read other posts.  This didn’t happen with the wiki.
