  1. The simple solution to this problem is for the record companies to start selling ALL CDs for $5.99. The current price of $15-17 for a CD is, and always has been, a blatant ripoff. People would buy more CDs IN ADDITION TO downloading. Record companies would make more money and fans would be happily awash with CDs! People will be more adventurous by buying artists they normally wouldn’ touch if CDs were in the $4-5 range.

    Pirating always has been a bogus issue for the record companies. Their product is clearly superior in all ways, but fans will put up with poor sound quality when the cost for a CD is exorbitant.

    Meanwhile Pando is still my best friend!
