{"id":6107,"date":"2024-03-12T15:20:30","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T23:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ross\/?p=6107"},"modified":"2024-04-01T14:49:36","modified_gmt":"2024-04-01T22:49:36","slug":"abeh-launches-book-the-gifts-of-history-teaching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ross\/2024\/03\/abeh-launches-book-the-gifts-of-history-teaching\/","title":{"rendered":"ABEH launches book: The Gifts of History Teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>ABEH launches book: <em>The Gifts of History Teaching<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"quiet\">03\/12\/2024<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"imagem_1035\" class=\"imageSimple img-fluid rounded-circle photo-shadow\" title=\"Associac\u00e3o_Brasileira_de_Ensino_de_Hist\u00f3ria__ABEH_-removebg-preview.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abeh.org.br\/resources\/content\/abeh\/informativo_1710275823_1_5_Associacao_Brasileira_de_Ensino_de_Historia__ABEH_-removebg-preview.png\" alt=\"Associac\u00e3o_Brasileira_de_Ensino_de_Hist\u00f3ria__ABEH_-removebg-preview.png\" width=\"340\" height=\"340\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" vspace=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"txtConteudo\">\n<p>This week ABEH launched the book\u00a0\u00a0<em>The Gifts of History Teaching: (re)constructions on new bases<\/em>\u00a0, organized by professors Juliana Alves de Andrade (UFRPE) and Luis Fernando Cerri (UEPG), which is part of the productions resulting from the\u00a0\u00a0XIII National Meeting of History Teaching Researchers (ENPEH), which took place between November 9th and 11th, 2022, at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), in Recife.<\/p>\n<p>The book brings together discussions produced by the event&#8217;s speakers, as well as coordinators of Dialogue Research Groups (GPD), which address\u00a0reflections on public policies,\u00a0\u00a0concerns\u00a0\u00a0around culture, political issues and the teaching of History, in addition to of discussions on\u00a0research into the teaching of History and its subjects.<\/p>\n<p>As the organizers write in the book presentation:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>&#8221;\u00a0We live in times of reconstruction and democratic vigilance.
