Sabine Silberberg, Vancouver, BC, Canada is a Registered Art Therapist, Expressive Arts Therapist and photographer (currently completing a PhD at the European Graduate School) who is interested in how the arts, especially photography, can be used to reach and connect with people, particularly those who are living with multiple obstacles and diagnoses. She works for the Dr. Peter Centre, an AIDS service organization, with mostly marginalized, and often drug-involved clients in a harm reduction model. Sabine uses photography to engage those who need more flexible and responsive approaches that can be adapt to their unique circumstances. Her intention is to create conditions for reconnection with resilience.
Sabine’s international learning and teaching experiences include arts-therapy programs in BC (in particular Vancouver Expressive Arts), Emily Carr University, European Graduate School (Switzerland), and the Instituto del Terapia des Artes Espresivas (Peru).
