Welcome! This blog was created as part of my coursework for the UBC Teacher Librarian Diploma. It is where I will share my thoughts and musings on the content of my courses.
My name is Keri and I am currently a teacher in the Burnaby School District in BC. I have a BSc in math and physics from UNBC and a BEd in elementary education from SFU. I have been teaching for five years and in that time have taught Grades 1-7, ELL, and LSS. I have yet to work in a teacher-librarian position but am looking forward to taking on this collaborative, innovative role someday. This year, I am fortunate to be taking an education leave to finish my TL diploma. I am currently taking my final four courses: LIBE 463, LIBE 467, LIBE 477, and LLED 452.
