PNE, Vancouver, BC: Rides operator, part-time summer position. Operated children’s boat ride Cap’n KC at Playland. Ensured that customers comply with safety standards and regulations. August 2012 to September 2012.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
ICORD, Vancouver, BC: Resource centre volunteer. Directed patients to spinal care clinic, provided basic way-finding information regarding buildings around VGH. Translated ICORD research articles into layman’s terms for general public comprehension on online blog. October 2013 to May 2014.

Junior Achievement, Vancouver, BC: Business educator. Developed, organized, and presented weekly hour long lessons to elementary school classrooms regarding basic business concepts and financial literacy. Trained on teaching and presenting programs “Our Business World” and “A Business of Our Own. December 2013: Students fundraised $320 in less than 15 minutes to provide school supplies for underprivileged children in rural China. May 2013 to May 2014.

UBC Reading Week Project, Vancouver, BC: Student volunteer. Led groups of students at Franklin Elementary over three days to teach scientific concepts through experiments manipulating natural disasters. May 2013.
