This is where I find I learn the most in an online course. When I am forced to explain myself in writing and I see how different classmates approach the same problems I am faced with, I get a sense of us all being in the same boat. This is important if we want to feel engaged by the content. In the end the medium is not the message, it is the diverse influences shared in discussions whether they are audio, video or text-based.
