I am in my 11th year of teaching and 6th year in the Mission School District. where I currently teach Technology at Mission Secondary School. I spent my first year of teaching Technology at Abbotsford Junior, my alma mater which just happened to be the last year in its existence, 2001-02; it has since been replaced by Abbotsford Middle School. I was then transferred to Robert Bateman Secondary School for a year (2002-03), then Yale Secondary School for two years (2003-05) before I was transferred to William A Fraser Middle School where I spent 1 year (2005-06). I decided to leave the Abbotsford School District as there was a Information Technology position that opened up at Mission Secondary School in September 2006. The move was bittersweet for me because although I was entering back into the Technology field of Education, I was leaving a district that I had not only spent 5 years in but also, was born and raised in. Since arriving at MSS in 2006, I have already made lasting friendships with staff and taught some fantastic students. The decision has been a great one! MSS has so many programs for students and the school has a lot of energy. It is a great place to go to work everyday.
