As a Youth Settlement Counsellor, I facilitate a successful pre-employment and volunteer program called Karma Connections. This program helps newcomer youth fulfill their high school graduation requirements and teaches them about employment and volunteering in Canada. Pathways to Prosperity recognized the program’s effectiveness in achieving its goals. It was chosen to be profiled as a promising practice with the potential for replication by other non-profit organizations working with newcomer youth.

As part of the selection process, I completed an online interview and a written report, as seen below, to highlight program components, including the program overview, key features that contribute to its promising practice and performance measure and evaluation strategy.
