To most people this means that I am overemotional, but they usually fail to understand what impact empathy can have on a person. My empathy is why I write poetry, it&#8217;s how I can read Max like a book, it&#8217;s why I can feel the tension in a room and how I know what present is perfect for someone. I have always been interested in perspective, and even more than that, breaking through perspective.<\/p>\n<p>I can attribute most of these feelings to a book I read in the fourth grade. It was called <em>Walk Two Moons<\/em> by Sharon Creech. I remember it was one of my favorite books, and one of the main themes of the story was empathy as a source for understanding. I think I built a lot of who I am on that book, actually.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I recommend it, if you need a quick winter read. It&#8217;s simple (again, I read it in grade four) but it&#8217;s a great story (and it won a Newbery!)<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;someone just threw a snowball in my window.
