I am a teaching professional graduating from the French Immersion Program at UBC. The two passions that have guided me, even propelled me, towards teaching are dance and neuroscience. In many ways they continue to inform who I am as a teacher, one metaphorically and the other through the research and insights that are becoming available.
Dance, although it has been a very real and important part of my life for many years, represents the strength of collaborative endeavors as well as the creativity, freedom and awareness of self and space that comes from conscious movement. I make every attempt to remain abreast of current neuroscience findings as I believe there is a wealth of understanding of the learning process to still be discovered. It is our new frontier.
