English 301 – a course in technical writing will introduce me to communication in business and professional settings. After reading the course description, I realized that shorter assignments and longer project strategies will help me to engage with other classmates. This will facilitate peer review and analysis of my work. It will also help in developing team work and effective collaboration. Development of self-editing-skills is also crucial. The course has been strategically divided into four sub-categories which will ensure continuous progress and improvement.
Through ENG 301, I hope to improve my technical writing skills which is an essential key to progress in professional world. The ability to express, is fundamental in every sphere of business world. The expressions should be accurate and appropriate in accordance with the required setting. Hence, I find this course vital to professional growth that I can start cultivating during my time at the university.
In the end, I would say, to express is to impress, thoughts which are shared becomes knowledge and expressions. Thoughts that are unexpressed are never known and fades away in other dimensions.
Good expression is the key to give substance and weight to the words you speak or write. Without communication, not only personal progress hinders, but it also affects team work. Improper communication subtly changes information during the chain process, and the original intact meaning becomes vague and ambiguous. Hence, I would like to study this course effectively, to make continuous progress in my technical writing and communication skills.
