The Geography: Environment & Sustainability program consisted of courses in GIS and cartography, geographical/environmental sciences, and human geography/environmental studies. I chose this program because I wanted to understand both the science and social aspects of climate change. This program gave me the opportunity to understand the science of the climate cycle, how scientists observe and track changes to the climate, the impact the changing climate has on humans – especially low-income, minority, and underserved communities, and how action can be taken at globally, federally, and locally to fight climate change and build a sustainable world.
