Consider potential inquiry questions to explore throughout your practicum experience.

We will be doing informal research on a question that we have thought about in Inquiry 1, and then perfected and designed in Inquiry 2.

As my program progresses, there are many of different inquiry questions. Some of the ideas that I have at this point include:

  1. What is the role of technology in the classroom? Does it help or hinder the class? How do students like it/dislike it? What types do they like or don’t like?
  2. Do different class openers (or class openers at all) help to engage students for duration of the class? Should “class openers” always be done at the beginning or could they be done throughout the whole period to maintain engagement?
  3. Place-based learning – how does this enhance student learning? Does it work for multi-disciplinary teaching? Inquiry?? How can I test this?

We are learning so many different tips and tricks to try and engage students and keep them engaged – I think in my practicum I will test out a variety of different strategies.
