Yes – finally picked up my last course – Science 10.  I am looking forward to it because I feel I have a pretty decent unit plan and feel confident in what I need to teach.  The kids are great – very enthusiastic and polite! They listen and answer questions, it will be a good class.  I am also finally getting into the groove of the whole “other stuff”. I’m making some concrete rules for myself on what I will and will not accept for late homework and marks and general excuses. My mentor told me to be clear on the rules for myself and stick to them for the students. Doing this has helped a lot for my sanity and time management as well.  This is another lesson I have learned – to decided on my ground rules and stick to them. I do think they can be bent every now and then but when rules are clear, everyone is happier.
