Every student in the UBCÂ teacher candidate is required to do an inquiry project over the duration of the 11-month Teacher Education Program. The aim of the project is to explore a relevant topic through the lens of a personalized inquiry question. The inquiry project involves academic research as well as a self-study in the context of our practicum and community field placements. My inquiry project explores the following question:
How can I use the reflective practice as a tool for teacher self-assessment to identify my weakness as a teacher and improve upon them?
