{"id":106,"date":"2020-12-04T18:50:24","date_gmt":"2020-12-05T01:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/saritaponce\/?p=106"},"modified":"2020-12-04T18:50:24","modified_gmt":"2020-12-05T01:50:24","slug":"week-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/saritaponce\/2020\/12\/04\/week-11\/","title":{"rendered":"Week 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Week 11 Blog Post<\/p>\n<p>Ernesto (Che) Guevara someone that I\u2019ve heard of but never really known who he was and what he did.\u00a0 I heard that he had done some \u2018bad\u2019 things but never really know what they were, and now I wish I knew earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Che took part in Fidel Castro\u2019s plans to coup the Batista\u2019s government.\u00a0 Chels role was to lead a small group of guerrillas.\u00a0 Once Castro successfully took power, Che was given charge of the prison called La Cabana Fortress.\u00a0 During this there were 144 prisoners executed.<\/p>\n<p>Soon after Che became the president of Cuban National Bank.\u00a0 A year after he eventually became the Minister of Industry.\u00a0 Then left.<\/p>\n<p>In this time (about two years later) he also rallied the people of Bolivia to revolt against their government.\u00a0 Unfortunately, he was unable to recruit many and still had that small guerilla, because of this Che was captured and killed.\u00a0 He died by the Bolivian army.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Your Che Guevara shirt celebrates a bloodthirsty maniac\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p3LCTAlRjR4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Like me I feel like this video proves that I wasn&#8217;t the only who was so ignorant to not know who he really is.\u00a0 Its crazy to think that Che&#8217;s face has become a quick way to market t-shorts to people who really don&#8217;t know who and what he&#8217;s done.\u00a0 I also wanted to mention that this video does have some over the top edits but at the same time it shows just how easy it is for uninformed individuals to buy it thinking its a nice motif.<\/p>\n<p>I included this next video to provide some more information about Che that I maybe didn&#8217;t see as worthy to keep in my blog, and so that if you&#8217;re interested you can learn more.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"History vs. Che Guevara - Alex Gendler\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tjrvKA4w9-Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sarita \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Week 11 Blog Post Ernesto (Che) Guevara someone that I\u2019ve heard of but never really known who he was and what he did.\u00a0 I heard that he had done some \u2018bad\u2019 things but never really know what they were, and now I wish I knew earlier.
