Through the course Geographic Information Science (Geography 270) I have vastly expanded my working knowledge of the theory, techniques, and applications of ArcGIS. I used ArcGIS to perform spatial analysis on a variety of situations to solve applicable problems such as evaluating municipal flood risk from tsunamis, comparing the relative affordability of housing in Vancouver and Ottawa and performing an environmental impact assessment on the proposed Garibaldi at Squamish ski resort development.
