Corporate Relations Presented by The CUS, BCC and DAE

The UBC Sauder Business Career Center, Development and Alumni Engagement and CUS External Portfolio will present how they can support your club/service with corporate relations work this coming year!

Don’t Blurt, Kindly Assert! 

(Facilitator: Gavin Gao, Student Engagement Advisor)

Do you communicate assertively? How do you view assertiveness? This workshop is aimed at dissecting topics of assertiveness as a communication style and providing effective feedback. Participants will learn about assertiveness theories, the experience cube, their own assertiveness style, and integrate it all into practice. 

Finance Orientation & Training 

(Facilitator: Nikita Dao – CUS VP Finance)

Learn about the general operations of the CUS financial system and procedures, as well as major policies that all services must adhere to. You’ll also learn about the budgeting timeline, key operations and budgeting terms, best practices, how to consolidate your budget, and tips for budgeting.

Logistics 101: A How-To on Planning Successful Events 

(Facilitator: Eun Bin Moon – CUS VP Internal)

Join us as we take a deep dive into the resources provided by the Internal team, featuring tips on how to plan events by the Sauder Events team! From classrooms to lanyards, learn how to access and leverage them to make sure the logistics of your events are seamless.

Student Engagement – Engaging all students 

(Facilitator: Victoria Sin – CUS VP Student Engagement)

Participate in a conversation about ways to engage the most students possible in your events! This workshop will provide some starting points for examining and improving your events through the lenses of accessibility and inclusivity. You will also have the opportunity to brainstorm ideas and hear from fellow student leaders.

Marketing Portfolio Vision for 2022/2023 

(Facilitator: Katrina Artes – CUS VP Marketing)

In this workshop, Katrina the incoming VP Marketing will be introducing her vision and ideas for the upcoming year. As well, the workshop will cover the expectations on communications and marketing guidelines for service chairs and the marketing commission.
