This website is a compilation of blog posts related to teaching, learning and digital tech integration created during my time teaching, mentoring and advising in the Faculty of Education at UBC Vancouver (2013-2024). Some of the writing was contributed by colleagues, by undergrad and graduate students and some I wrote myself. My name is Yvonne Dawydiak, I am an experienced educator with I am passionate about inclusive, active learning pedagogies – ensuring students are at the center. It was a privilege to work with teacher candidates. faculty and staff in various capacities from 2013 until 2024 at UBC.\u00a0 After retiring from my role as Learning Design Manager in Teacher Education in 2024, I continue to teach online, design courses, work on special projects, conduct professional development and consult with school districts.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Please feel free to reach out by commenting and apologies in advance for broken links or errors in content. <\/a> over 20 years K12 teaching experience and 10 years post-secondary experience. I completed a Masters of Educational Technology at UBC in 2010 and my BEd in the early 90’s. I live and work on the unceded traditional territories of the SEN\u0106O\u0166EN and Hul\u0313q\u0313umi\u0301n\u0313um\u0313 speaking Coast Salish peoples on an island settlers named Salt Spring after the natural springs found on the island.<\/p>\n
