This is the next step beyond block coding online because there is an interactive component by the robot immediately responding to code.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5705\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/scarfesandbox\/files\/2016\/11\/how-to-get-started-360x80.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"80\" \/><br \/>\n[column size=6]<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Locate or purchase a Dash Robot &amp; have access to a Bluetooth-enabled device.<\/li>\n<li>Choose which app will work best for your students (available on Apple, Google Play, &amp; Amazon Appstore)\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/tickleapp.com\/\">Tickle<\/a> &#8211; This app is for advanced learners who understand block coding already. It can control multiple robots, not just Dash or Dot. Only available on iOS devices.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/swift-playgrounds\/id908519492\">Swift Playgrounds<\/a> &#8211; Created by Apple and used by IOS to create popular apps. This App can now power Dash.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makewonder.com\/apps\/wonder\/\">Wonder<\/a> &#8211; Houses a controller, free-play, and Quests which are similar to self-guided tutorials. It is also used for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.makewonder.com\/education\/robotics-competition\/\">Wonder League<\/a> &#8211; a Global Competition.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makewonder.com\/apps\/go\/\">Go<\/a> &#8211; Allows users to control the direction of Dash with basic controls. This app is also a portal to online content and more activities.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makewonder.com\/apps\/path\/\">Path<\/a> &#8211; Control Dash&#8217;s direction by drawing where it should travel.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makewonder.com\/apps\/blockly\/\">Blockly<\/a> &#8211; Program Dash or Dot by using visual block coding<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makewonder.com\/apps\/xylo\/\">Xylo<\/a> &#8211; Create your own music using.
