About

Welcome to my e-portfolio that displays my GEOB 270 ArcGIS maps. I’m currently a second year science student at the University of British Columbia studying Geographical Sciences. I look forward to a career in biogeography with emphasis on climatology, specifically how climate controls the movement and distribution of vegetation and animals in the past and present time.

I’m a lover of all things outdoors, biology, geography, and earth and ocean sciences. I spend all the time I can get outside exploring new areas and travelling. This summer I plan on working in Yellowstone, the world’s first national park, where I have access to some of the best hiking and scenic views the United States has to offer, along with a very complex ecosystem. For the month of June I’ll be travelling to Leigh Marine Laboratory in New Zealand to study community ecology with emphasis on the plants, animals, and coastal marine ecosystems in New Zealand, offered through UBC’s BIOL409 course. I’m extremely excited for this experience and hope to gain research skills in the field while also forming relationships with people that share similar interests.
