About Me

My name is James Halliday and I have been teaching for 4 years at Mission Public School District. I attended Dalhousie University where I received a Bachelor of Arts: Double Major in Political Science and History. I have always found government, history, and how events can have a ripple effect beyond what is expected to be fascinating. After Dalhousie, I attended UBC for my Bachelor of Education: Social Studies Secondary Cohort. There I fell in love with the science of teaching, creating units and finding resources/ways to promote student inquiry into history and government.

Some of my passions outside of work include being active, whether it be in the gym lifting weights or going on hikes with my partner, exploring local businesses, and gaming both in video and board form.

Recently I proposed to my best friend and she said yes, along with us adopting a dog back in November 2021. The adventures we go on are always filled with laughs, love, and food.
