On the top header, you will see links to multiple categories of my work. Most of the content relates to Geography, however, you might also find writing samples from outside the discipline. I am always interested in cons<\/span> I love the environment, and more particularly understanding how people interact with ideas of nature and how we can work as a society to understand and mitigate our impact on the natural world. \u00a0How we relate and coexist with the natural world in our cities and beyond is particularly important to me.<\/p>\n I grew up in the Fraser Valley and spent a considerable amount of time in BC’s interior (around an hour outside of Kamloops!). I watched as foresters and farmers worked with the land, navigating around the complex topography of British Columbia’s landscapes. It wasn’t until my post-secondary studies that I realized the extensive intellectual landscapes in the province, and how navigating them presents a unique and exciting challenge.<\/p>\n I then moved to Quebec to work as a language monitor where I taught English and learned French.
