1. Phu Quoc – Kampot

We purchased a ticket to go all the way from Phu Quoc Island to Kampot for $20. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the ferry. Then picked up from the ferry in Ha Tien and taken to the tourist office. We had to wait a couple of hours before getting on the bus to take us through the border and into Cambodia. At the office we were told the Cambodian visa cost $25 and another $2 for the them to take our visa to the border ahead of us and have it processed. Turned out noone else we were travelling with did this, so we had to wait for them at the border anyway. Once in Kep we were pawned off to a tuk-tuk driver, and this is where our trip got interesting. It was pouring rain and the red mud road was terrible. The half an hour trip took up almost two hours!!

b. Bus from Phnom Penh – Siem Reap: $9, took 8 hours.

3. Siem Reap – Bangkok: $10 each, took 5.5 hours
