We really enjoyed our time in Vietnam. It is a beautiful country with wonderful people and lots of history. We flew from Canada to Saigon (HCMC), and spent one full day in the city before leaving to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. After only one afternoon in Ben Tre we left the next morning to Can Tho. We stayed in Can Tho for only one full day, and this is where we visited a floating market on the Mekong. From Can Tho we went to Ha Tien and then Phu Quoc Island. We spent three full days in Phu Quoc before heading out of Vietnam and into neighboring Cambodia. At the end of our trip (Day 59) we returned to Vietnam from Laos, flying into Hanoi. We spent one full day in Hanoi before heading up north to Ba Be (a beautiful and tourist free destination). We spent two nights in Ba Be before returning to Hanoi for a night and then heading to Halong Bay for one night on a cruise. After another full day in Hanoi we flew down the coast to Hoi An (one of our favourite towns) and Hue. After a night in Hue we then flew to Saigon and flew back to Canada the next day!
