HCMC – Ben Tre: Take the public bus #2 from Ben Thanh market to Mien Tay (5,000 D). Then a bus saying Ben Tre for 50,000 D.

Ben Tre – Can Tho: Catch a public bus going up the main road to the bus station. Take the bus that leaves to Can Tho at 8 am.

Can Tho – Ha Tien: Catch a bus at 7:30 from the bus station, 125,000 D. Drops you off at Kien Luong, 25 kms from Ha Tien. We took a moto the rest of the way for 60,000 D.

Ha Tien – Phu Quoc Island: $12, including moto to the boat dock.

Phu Quoc Island – Kampot: $22, including ride to the boat, the boat, and ride through the border to Kampot.

Hanoi Airport – City: Vietnam Airlines bus $2, then short taxi ride $2.

Hanoi – Ba Be: Taxi to My Dinh bus station, 150,000D. Bus to Bak Khan, 60,000D. Minivan to Bak Ngoi, 80,000D.

Hanoi – Hoi An: Public bus to airport, 7,000D. Flight for $30 to Chau Lai (DO NOT DO THIS). Chau Lai is in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Somehow a local girl speaking perfect English managed to find us a van going to Danang. We got in the van and paid 100,000 D to get dropped off near Hoi An. We were dropped on the side of the highway in the dark and told to walk down a path to some men with motorbikes. We then paid another 100,000 D to get a moto to Hoi An.

Hoi An – Hue:  Tourist bus for 100,000 D.

Hue – Saigon: Flight for $40.
