Halong Bay

We signed up for a one night cruise with Christina Cruise, which cost $70 each and included transport there and back, visiting a cave and pearl farm, kayaking, hiking an island, karaoke, two lunches, dinner,  breakfast, and a night on the boat. We were picked up at 8:30 am and made it to Halong Bay by 1 pm. We had lunch on the boat as we drove to the cave. The cave was absolutely spectacular, although very packed with people. We then went kayaking around the bay for half an hour before heading to an island. The island had a staircase up to the top where there was an amazing view of the bay.

The evening consisted of a delicious dinner, quite a few drinks (which are extra), and karaoke. The next morning we had  breakfast at 7:30 am before visiting a pearl farm, which was actually very interesting. We then cruised around the bay for a couple of hours and had lunch before heading back to shore. This was the most touristy thing we did on our entire holiday, but it is basically impossible to do it any other way. We did have a good time, and Halong Bay is truly spectacular. We did a lot of research before deciding on Christina Cruise, and I would definitely recommend this company. The food was delicious, the rooms were really nice, everything ran smoothly, and although we were on a tight schedule and sometimes felt rushed we still enjoyed our time in Halong Bay.
