We only stayed in Chiang Rai for one night as we were travelling from Chiang Mai to the Laotian border, but it seemed like a nice town. There was a pretty sweet night market with lots of nice stalls and some really good food stalls. There was also a stage with some performers which was entertaining to watch. We ended up staying in a very nice hotel called “North”, which was very close to the bus stop and therefore super convenient!
