a good friend of yours said that you needed to go out and meet more people and had the perfect person in mind. they suggested that you meet someone they think would be perfect for you. [[agree to go]] [[you decide to stay home and not go on that blind date]]

the only thing you know is that you're meeting up with this person at a popular coffee shop with an ocean view. you slip into your sandals and look at yourself in the mirror. your outfit is the perfect beachy-cafe look and ya look like a snack! you head over to the cafe to meet your date for the first time. you notice that they are already sitting at one of the tables overlooking the ocean and looks like they already ordered a drink for you. [[you go over to that table]]

you put on your trusty boots which don't go with your outfit but makes you feel badass wearing them. you head over to the cafe to meet your date for the first time. you notice that they are already sitting at one of the tables overlooking the ocean and looks like they already ordered a drink for you. you introduce yourself to your date. and you go to take a sip of the drink they ordered for you and... ''omg'' it's a caramel machiatto! most mermaids hate caramel WTH you try to keep your composure as you gulp your first disgusting sip. you don't want to be rude! and what if they ordered this drink on purpose to expose you?!?! [[you keep drinking it!]]

you keep drinking the disgusting caramel machiato that your date bought for you. you can't help but make a face everytime you take a sip. it's so obvious you hate it that your date eventually asks you if you're okay. it starts to look like they're a little suspicious. you: [[quickly change the subject to how nice the beach is and to go out.]]

together, you go out to the beach just outside the cafe. don't get too close to the water! your human feet will change back into a mermaid tail! it would expose you! but it looks like your date really wants to go into the water... [[you distract your date by saying "catch me if you can!" and start running away from the ocean. what a dumb way to distract your date away-- but it works]] [[you tell them you need to go to the bathroom]]

together, you go out to the beach just outside the cafe. you don't stray too close to the water since you don't want to make your feet touch the salty water. entering the water would make your human feet change back into a mermaid tail! it would expose you! [[but...]]

This game of tag takes your date by surprise BUT they are quick enough to catch up to you. They end up catching you and picking you up and drop you into the water... ... ... ... [[...]]

OH DEAR OH NO WHAT NOW You scream and try to get out of the water as fast as you could. But it's too late. Your feet start changing back into your mermaid tale. It's difficult for you to stand and you flop over in the ocean. Your date is surprised but starts laughing. [[why are they laughing?]]

Once your date has calmed down they apologize for laughing and helped you stand up. They said they were suspicious about me being a mermaid and wanted to test it out without outright asking me. Well that's just rude. [[I asked why they would want to do this]]

the next location for this date was the Cow Plant garden. Cow Plants are carnivorous plants. If they haven't eaten for a while they will hold out a fake cake from its mouth to attract people close enough to eat them. there have been quite a few Cow Plant deaths in the past. your date says that they've always wanted to own a Cow Plant and wanted me to help them pick one to buy and take home. you decide to start running as fast as you can away from your date and the entrance of the Cow Plant garden. you call your friend to tell them that the blind date was a failure. you head home where you know you will be safe and away from the ocean and any plants that would love to eat you. this was a good lesson you learned overall follow your insincts and don't go on another blind date again! the end [[Back to Beginning]]

you make the dumb desition to stick around and help your date pick out a baby Cow Plant the Cow Plant nursery doesn't seem too bad since most of them are too small to swallow you up whole. you inform your date that you are scared of the bigger Cow Plants. they apologize for bringing you to a place you are scared of. you obviously say it's okay and finish helping them pick out a baby Cow Plant. the baby Cow Plants are actually pretty cute and you consider getting your own. both you and your date purchase your own separate Cow Plants. your date drives you home and you decide to stay friends and update each other on your individual Cow Plants. hopefully your Cow Plant grows fond of you and doesn't end up eating you when it's an adult. you remain Cow Plant buddies with your first blind date partner. it was a good experience overall. and you consider going on more blind dates in the future if the opportunity arises. the end [[Back to Beginning]]
