First of all, I learned how to adjust to Canadian workplaces. At first, I used to follow my schedule that my boss gave me. It was actually an easy way for me to keep the track. However, some of the teachers at school did not really need my help sometimes. For example, in the high level writing class, I was not very helpful for the students since the students’ English vocabulary was even more advanced. Finally, I decided not to go to the class but to go to the 1~3rd graders’ classes. In other words, I chose to work where I can be more contributing. Now, I know how to be initiate to fix some problems at workplace and how to be a contributing person. Also, I realized sometimes we need to break the fixed rules to be more efficient as I decided not to just follow my schedule.
