Crosslam Tiles

OSB Crosslam tiles and polished OSB used as an interior wall finish.

Cross-lamination is a method of producing large, strong panels of wood material by gluing wood together in perpendicular layers. Crosslam tiles are a way of recycling salvaged engineered wood products such as plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), laminated veneer lumber (LVL), and laminated strand lumber (LSL) into new finishing materials. Though similar products exist, this specific process is theoretical. The industrial line pictured above demonstrates the basic principle of industrial production, while the images below show the handcraft method for making the tiles.
