As an educator I look forward to my upcoming experiences within the classroom. As I grow and develop as a teacher I will continue to address formative assessment practices, and student motivation to ensure that each student has the best chance to learn and present what they have learned.
Once I have the proper experience I look forward to continuing my education by taking a Masters in Education around 2020-2025. I find it very valuable to have extensive classroom experience before continuing my formal education.
While I am engaged in the classroom I will continue to develop and find ways to include technology in my classroom as a tool for learning, not as a substitute for it. I will continue to find ways to engage my students in critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, and real world case studies. I want each student to see how math, business education, information technology education, and physical education are part of every day life, from how banks work, to how create a website, to how to eat healthy and be active. I look forward to professional development days, networking with colleagues who are teachers, principles, superintendents, coaches, and professionals in other fields.
Learning is a life long process. I have learned to love the process of learning more than any final destination it my bring me to, and I hope to instill this same passion for the process in my students so that they also develop into life long learners.
