Biography

One of the biggest values I strongly believe in is that knowledge is a treasure that opens up life’s doors and that learning is a never stop endeavour. Therefore, I strive to upgrade my skills, profession and my personal vision whenever there is an opportunity for growth. I have been practicing dental hygiene since 2008 in southern Ontario, mainly in Orthodontic specialty clinical practice and currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree through the online post-diploma degree completion program at University of British Columbia.

Leadership has always been one of my core strengths, as acknowledged by my leadership award upon graduation from my dental hygiene program, recognizing superior clinical performance, self-direction and potential for significant contribution to the profession. Throughout my career, I consistently find myself taking initiative to improve the workplace, providing extraordinary dental hygiene care, in addition to keeping up with the latest advancements and research in the field of dental hygiene. I am often seen as the go to person to mentor and train new staff.

My goal is to become a dental hygiene researcher, where I will be able to influence and shape the dental hygienists of the future, as our roles expand, not only as providers of oral care but as front-line professionals.

Kindness and loyalty are a fundamental part of who I am. I’m a nature and animal lover and I enjoy music, reading, travel and cultures.
