Reflection:

This was an enjoyable experience and reminds me of what we ask our students to do all of the time in school, try something new, take risks, and re-frame thinking. At first, I was stumped at how to change the original activity but  then I consider some of the apps we use with our students and I thought it would be neat to use Story Jumper to redesign this activity.

I think as Bolter suggests as well, providing alternatives is important. We are in a time where we have access to a variety of tools for students to showcase what they know and I think it is important to provide this choice for our students in all areas. Of course, we live in a society full of literature and we are constantly making meaning of our surroundings by looking at written cues (ex. signage around town). The great thing about where we are today is that we can provide tools and choice on how to share knowledge and this allows for more personalization for students.
