Grace\u00a0has been named an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gg.ca\/document.aspx?id=15482\"><strong>Officer of the Order of Canada<\/strong><\/a>, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to scholarship in the Humanities. Her work has significantly enhanced the public debate of subjects such as the nation\u2019s role in the North and in the two world wars. Her many accomplishments have been recognized across Canada and abroad, and she has received some of the most prestigious awards that her home university, the University of British Columbia, and the Canadian and European scholarly communities have to offer.
