Where you were when you started?<br \/>\nA teacher friend highly recommended this course to me.\u00a0 She found the course was a great source for online applications and software for teaching and told me to take the course if got the chance.\u00a0 What we did in the first few days was something I didn\u2019t expect.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure of what to make of the course.\u00a0 I was overwhelmed.\u00a0 I had exceeded my breaking point and reached an \u2018information overload\u2019.\u00a0 I was being pushed out of my comfort zone, and I didn\u2019t like it.\u00a0 I had moments were I thought about dropping this course, but I glad I didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>2. Where you are now?<br \/>\nI\u2019m feeling more confident.\u00a0 I know what to expect in class and have learned to cope with the \u2018information smog\u2019.\u00a0 It also helps to know that I wasn\u2019t alone in my feelings of anxiety about our class; everyone else was feeling the same too.\u00a0 That brings me to my feelings of being more connected with the teaching community.\u00a0 It\u2019s hard building relationships with other teachers as a TOC.\u00a0 With this course, I\u2019m slowly making personal connections and building my own learning group.\u00a0 It\u2019s been a great experience sharing with each other.\u00a0 There\u2019s a developing sense of camaraderie and fellowship.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great feeling.\u00a0 We\u2019re in this together!<\/p>\n<p>3. Information Smog (week 1): struggling and coping with the class (understanding concepts, expectations, assignments)<br \/>\n2. Making Connections (week 2-3): putting theories into practice and applying ideas to real life situations<br \/>\n3.
